WOOD RIVER, OREGON

Almost 3 1/2 years ago (pre-puppy) Neil and I drove up to this gorgeous area north of Klamath Falls. The river is 18 miles long and runs through Fremont–Winema National Forest. Crater Lake is it’s source with the mouth pouring into Agency Lake.

From our home in Central Point it takes about 2 hours to get there if you aren’t in a hurry (85 miles one way.)

DIRECTIONS:

Take OR-140 E and West Side Rd to Chiloquin Hwy in Klamath County

Take Modoc Point Rd to Wood River Canal

Look for signs and parking. There are trails along the river and I understand good fishing also.
